According to Harald, a better term than \"elective\" is \"optional.\" If you prefer this term, just make the substitution.
I suspect that I chose \"elective\" because we do speak of \"elective surgery,\" which is of course a service. However, there is no reason why \"optional\" or even possibly \"peripheral\" could not work well in your context.

Clearly this is the wording of part of a health services agreement, and the whole of its meaning has IMO yet to be adequately expressed. Here is my effort:
"The hospital is entitled to suspend the provision of optional services immediately on a temporary basis as soon as and to the extent that this becomes necessary to enable provision of general hospital facilities to other patients".

I would prefer \"optional services\" to \"service options\" - the emphasis is back to front, IMHO.

\"service options\" is certainly an English term, but IMO it could put the emphasis in slightly the wrong place. It suggests extra add-ons or variances you can have to the main services, where as \"optional services\" suggests extra services, in addtion to the main services.

In your context, there may be little difference, and if \"Wahlleistungen\" just means, say, upgrading to a private room, or having a more comfortable bed, then you could well be right to stick with \"service options\".
