Es geht noch um das Scheidungsurteil. Danke erst einmal für die Antworten vorher.

könnte man das mit "read out loud" übersetzen? DAnke

Explanation:
The more commen German term meaning the same thing is "vorgelesen und genehmigt" (I took my suggestion from Dietl/Lorenz). :-)

Sorry, that should\'ve been \"common\"

After reading Msherms\'s comment, I suppose one could get very exact about this:
\"laut diktiert und genehmigt\" (dictated and approved)
\"vorgelesen und genehmigt\" (read aloud and approved)
\"gelesen und genehmigt\" (read and approved)
\"vorgespielt und genehmigt\" (played back and approved)

I guess it would then have to be \"dictated and approved\" in this particular case - sorry for the confusion. ;-)

I wouldn\'t say \"dictated aloud\" or something like that, because dictating is always done \"aloud\". ;-)

agree  msherms: I agree- though at court directly during the proceedings, they say (and then write) laut diktiert und genehmigt- yep that's what I mean - hi :)

-> Yes, because they are using a "Diktiergerät" (="dictaphone") and don't actually read anything or play it back, but ask if what the judge just dictated was correct (unless it is a settlement that is dictated, in which case it is played back). :-)

agree  Krokodil: Sounds like it to me.-
