German to English translations [PRO] Marketing
German term or phrase:Weltmarkt
Main headline on a ppt foil - there is a second, subheadline mentioning "the world market for IT and telecommunications" and standing above a pie chart showing the shares of different nations in this world market. In order to avoid mentioning "world market" twice and to catch the attention of the viewers while staring at the presentation, I was thinking to replace the first "world market" with a synonymous equivalent. I was thinking about "The global scope" - does this make sense and sound ok to an American native speaker? Does it capture the essence of "world market"?
Thanks for your ideas!!!
Explanation: This is what I would use in case you really insist on using two different terms. IMO. there is no necessity to do so and, in fact, it might lead to confusion, in the worst case. My tip: leave it as it is - most clear and exact!
