Marketing
German term or phrase: eingeworbene Kapital
...wird das im Rahmen der zweiten Finanzierungsrunde eingeworbene Kapital fuer den Aufbau von Marketing und Vertrieb...eingesetzt werden.

I only need help with the phrase listed, not the whole sentence. What is the infinitive from which eingeworbene comes?

raised capital, capital raised
Explanation:
I think in business English, 'acquire' is generally used for take overs of other companies, or taking a share in other companies. Capital is 'raised' (for example in a financing round). Eg, the headline of the quoted web page is:
'Chemdex raises $30 million in latest financing round.'
I think it is most natural here to refer to 'the capital raised in the second financing round'.

Explanation:
Kapital einwerben (in the sense of Kapital 'aufbauen', thus 'aufgebaut'): to acquire, to build-up capital, hence acquired, built-up capital

capital raised / raised capital

Explanation:
I'd agree with drydrayton that this should be "raised".

I recently completed a translation in which this came up. From the original English:
"On April xxx, the Company completed a $nn million Series A preferred stock financing and a tax-free restructuring and reorganization.
On July xxx , the Company closed its Series B preferred stock financing, raising approximately $nn million."

Explanation:
I think that is what I would say in this context.

the infinitive is einwerben. A Google search showed that is it used in many contexts.

If you are interested, here are a few examples:

Im Juni 2000 wurde das Einwerben des Eigenkapitals für den Windpark Schwabhausen erfolgreich abgeschlossen.
www.prokon-energiesysteme.de/News/schwabhause_platziert.htm...

Das Einwerben von Geldbußen setzt die Fähigkeit zu einer korrekten und prompten Verwaltung der Geldeingänge voraus.
www.muenster.org/lag3w/html/mmm/bundes/findex.html

Jugendliche wollen 1000 Ausbildungsplätze auf der CeBIT einwerben
www.rundschau-online.de/computer/cebit/178198.html.

Geberkonferenz will weitere Mittel für Tschernobyl-Sarkophag einwerben
www.strom-kaufen.de/news/news_umwelt/u000704_1608.html.

So depending on what is obtained and in what way, "einwerben" translates as raise, collect, obtain etc.
