IT = information technology Explanation: IT is the usual abreviation for Information Technology, a term which "covers a multitude of sins". But seriously, it has to do with any sort of software that deals with the processing and disseminating of information. |

IT = information technology Explanation: "IT" seems to have taken the place of the term "EDP". I suppose because "EDP" was found to be somewhat limited in scope. |

IT systems, visionary new IT developments Explanation: IT = information technology, in a very comprehensive sense: >>The collection of technologies that deal specifically with processing, storing and communicating information, including all types of computer and communications systems as well as reprographics methodologies<< -- McGraw-Hill Dictionary of Scientific and Technical Terms, ed. 4. That includes hardware, software, networks including the Internet. >>Information System<< is even broader and includes people, speech etc. (IBM Dictionary of Computing) . --- This is not the easiest passage to translate. You might start with something like >>>Armed with innovative ideas and technologies, today’s viable, leading-edge companies are facing the challenges of the third millennium by positioning themselves against their rivals as dynamic and flexible [a current buzzword is “agile”] competitors.<<< --- >>Konzept<< is a “favorite” German term that can also can also mean concept, plan, design, project, program, policy and more. -- Feel free to contact me if I can help. |
