"Nachgelagert" with the meaning "downstream" is ONLY used for the description of relative positions in the supply chain. For example, in the oil industry refining is downstream from exploration.

This is backed up by Hamblock/Wessels – Großwörterbuch Wirtschaftsenglisch.

It appears that in your context, "nachgelagert" means "von weniger Bedeutung" = "of less importance" or "secondary importance". For your sentence, especially if this is still the sports car, I might choose "of less importance".
