German term or phrase: Raffhub
I'm translating a parts specification for a medical parts company, and the word "Raffhub" appears twice. Any idea what it means?

The word appears in the following two entries:

1 Wangen (BÖ-Paar) steht fest, die zweite Wange ist beweglich und führt den Raffhub aus
1 side wall (BÖ pair) is fixed, the second side wall is movable and performs [carries out?] the [Raffhub]

Raffhub von 5 mm (von 105 mm Stichmaß in Schlauchschweißbereich Kopf-/Fußnaht nach 100 mm Stichmaß Schweißdorne auf Rundtakttisch)
5 mm [Raffhub] (105 mm micrometer in tube welding area, head/foot seam according to 100 mm micrometer welding mandrels on RTT)

Separately, this entry appears with the word "Raffen" (also obscure to me):

2 Vakuumkreise ( Raffen)

This all looks very sloppy to me, and it is perhaps a bad transcription of a PDF, but unfortunately I don't have the source file. At any rate, does anyone know how to translate "Raffhub"?

English translation:pleat stroke, pleat length
Explanation:
Raffen: (Stoff) an einer bestimmten Stelle so zusammenhalten, dass er in Falten (1b) fällt und dadurch ein wenig hochgezogen wird (https://www.duden.de/rechtschreibung/raffen#Bedeutung2)
This is the same as pleating.

Stichmass = stitch length
Stichmass für Schuhe: https://www.fischerschuhe.at/schuhgrößen/
"Stitch length is the width of the stitch made by a swing needle machine" (http://textilelearner.blogspot.com/2016/04/stitch-length-mea...

Hub = stroke or the length of the stroke, if one thinks of pneumatic cylinders
The use of pneumatic cylinders also explains the "Vakuumkreis (Raffen)".
This is a vacuum circuit used for pleating.

Now I make a guess: The machine produces bags of some kind. Per 105 mm stitch it makes a pleat of length 5 mm backwards, giving a 100 mm stitch.
