German to English translations [PRO] Medical - Medical: Dentistry / Dental Term
German term or phrase:Spanne
Brückenglieder oder Stege, je Spanne oder Freiendsattel
Thanks for that suggestion, Jonathan. 'Span' is the literal meaning of 'Spanne' but I don't think it is the term used here in dental bridge work. Although I'm not sure, I think 'Spanne' is another name for 'Brückenglied' or 'bridge unit ' or pontic'. I have seen 'Brückenspanne' translated somewhere as 'bridge pontic'. I have used 'pontic' in my translation.
