German to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Medical: Pharmaceuticals / Batch record for industrial production of drug
German term or phrase: Kontrolle
Context:
Datum Zeit Material Soll Ist Signum Kontrolle

'Signum' means 'initials' of the person entering the info and 'Kontrolle' means 'verification' or 'check', right? If so, which one? (We don't use 'control' in this context in English do we?) I realize this question has been asked before in Kudoz but I am specifically questioning the use of this word in this abbreviated context in a chart used in manufacturing context.

English translation:quality control/checked by
Explanation:
In a manufacturing context, it's important to know what is being controlled in the spewcific case. So it could be one of the possibilities above, depending if quality of job is controlled for, or more generally the performance.
