na | lining for an Esmarch bandage |
|
lining for an Esmarch bandage Explanation: Blutleeremanschette may be esmarch bandage (the process of exsanguination prior to surgery is called Esmarch method, after J. v. Esmarch, a German surgeon) or also exsanguination cuff or exsanguination tourniquet. Unterfütterung - lining (maybe inside lining if you want to stress that the lining is on the underside of the cuff). For further info see also: Endoscopic plantar fasciotomy is a fairly recent technique, and may be performed under local or general anaesthesia. The patient is placed supine on the operating table with feet everted (Stone and Davies, 1996). Exsanguination is accomplished with an Esmarch’s bandage, and a pressure cuff or tourniquet applied above the malleoli. www.curtin.edu.au/curtin/dept/physio/podiatry/encyclopedia/... - The initial Esmarch bandage wrap around my naked wound was uncomfortable for a moment, but the rest felt fine. When I used to give Bier's blocks for Colle's fractures in the old days (using 0.2% bupivacaine), I would elevate the patient's arm and then press on the brachial artery for five minutes instead of inflicting a painful Esmarch exsanguination. (deutsch) Esmarch-Blutleere (englisch) Esmarch’s method.
