German term or phrase: Front-Eckzahnführung
Front-Eckzahnführung (Lateralbewegung)
This appears in a list of intra-oral findings for a patient with apical periodontitis. I know that Front-Eckzahn is a front canine tooth but what does 'Führung' imply?

cuspid is pushed/directed forward
Explanation:
There is only one Eckzahn (cuspid, canine) at each corner. the "Front" must therefore refer to the direction in which the tooth is "geführt".
_Front/forward_ presumably means in a labial direction rather than in a mesial direction.
