Explanation:
I'm assuming this pertains to a microscope.
There are some pertinent hits that equate Gegenglas = Trägerscheibe, and that would be a substrate carrier or possibly slide carrier. See if that works within your cotnext. My Optics dictionary does list Trägerfolie = substrate (or substrate film) for an electron microscope, but is otherwise silent on Gegenglas.
