Medical
German term or phrase: klinischer Stellenwert
This is a heading in a text about enteral tube feeding. I'm just wondering if it's simply "clinical status"?
WriteWord
English translation:[relative] clinical importance [or value]
Explanation:
"Stellenwert" often translates simply as [relative] importance. The term implies a ranking in comparison with other, often implied rather than explicit, alternatives. --- BTW I agree about the need for better context in many questions posted on KudoZ, including probably some of my own :) (see my separate general note about helpful context)

Thanks for a helpful explanation - well, as helpful as it could be without more context! :-) Sorry for not providing more: I'm learning though, as my more recent questions hopefully show! And very sorry also for taking an eternity to give a grade for this! Sometimes other things come along and you kind of forget to give a grade unless you do it reasonably quickly. But I finally got sick of the ProZ "Grade Your Answers" reminders! :-)

Need more context

Explanation:
It's an enumeration of one thing or another. If this is the entire heading can you give us the first full sentence in which the term appears, for context?

General note on helpful context

Explanation:
You need a helpful answer. Your would-be helpers usually need helpful context. It helps them (for instance during Web searches in your behalf) to see not only (A) the GENERAL CONTEXT (for instance plumbing vs. wiring) but (B) all or most of the RELEVANT SENTENCE or short passage verbatim. Sometimes it’s also important to know (C) the GEOGRAPHY (source &/or target country), (D) the TARGET AUDIENCE (e.g., radiologist vs. medical physicist) and/or (E) the PURPOSE of the communication (informational vs. motivational, humor or satire etc.) Take care, of course (F) not to reveal PROPRIETARY / CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION, e.g. by disguising names etc.
