This, I think, is the "power unit" producing the sound waves which massage the body. Is power unit ok or is there something better?
Julie
ultrasound pulser
Explanation:
If this is the part that produce the sound waves which massage the body then this is an ultrasound pulser as opposed to a receiver (the sensor, if you will) or transducer (which is the actual emitter). Power unit is too ambiguous, quite generic and implies electricity. See the URL below for further info on pulsers and all things ultrasound.

power unit, power supply unit

Explanation:
I would agree with you that this is the power unit. A quick check in Eurodicautom lists "drive unit" or "propulsion unit", but those terms don't seem to fit your context. Especially in view of one of your previous queries, Leistungseingang (which is often found in the specs of electrical devices), power unit would seem the logical choice. I also found the term "power supply unit" in the manual (US English original) for a medical instrument that I translated recently. So that might be another choice. HTH!
