Medical
German term or phrase: Knochenstoffwechsel
Just got back from vacation and now I have to deal with reality again. The context is a product, mentioned only in passing, which is an "innovativen Bisphosphonate des Knochewechsels." Thanks in advance for very fast help (this needs to be handed in soon).

English translation:bone metabolism
Explanation:
It's almost certainly bone metabolism.

A quick search in PubMed (see ref below) for papers on this subjects revealed 806 papers with the expression "bone metabolism" in the title and none with bony or skeletal metabolism. Skeletal almost always refers to skeletal muscle.

Hope this helps

??

Explanation:
in the message you put
"Knochenstoffwechsel" but the
text you quoted has "Knochenwechsel."
which is correct???
Stoffwechsel is, of course,
metabolism, but Wechsel on its own
would be something different, perhaps
rearrangement of bony material according
to stress patterns or something like
that (i can't remember the term.)
