German to English translations [PRO]
Medical - Medical: Cardiology
German term or phrase: Herzhof
I have a translation of this as "cardiac atrium", but have been unable to confirm. Context is, regarding the vagus nerve:

"Direkte Äste zur versorgung des Herzhofs".

This is a label on a crude anatomical diagram, and the translation offered seems plausible, but I would appreciate confirmation from anyone who has come across this term.
TIA.

es ist wahrscheinlich der Herzvorhof gemeint, oder? (Herzhof habe ich noch nie gehört). Das ist einfach atrium of the heart

agree  Dr. Georg Schweigart: with AnjaR; never heard "Herzhof"! "cardiac atrium" = Herzvorhof

agree  Anne Schulz: I came occasionally across the word 'Herzhof' -- my (vague) feeling is that it is being transported from some Eastern European language into German -- and it always stands for 'Vorhof' = atrium.
