German to English translations [PRO]
Medical - Medical: Health Care / Hospital admin/software
German term or phrase: Laufliste
From a description of features offered by a laboratory results administration /hospital information system software package

"Dabei stehen Funktionalitäten wie Abnahme-, Lauflisten, Barcode-Etikettendruck, sowie lokaler Ausdruck individueller Berichte oder Befunde zur Verfügung"

I wondered if they mean something like the theatre list or patient list in out-patients, but I just don't know :-)

Explanation:
I remember way back in the army, the Laufliste was the piece of paper you got, when you were transferd somewhere else or got out of the service. It was a list that had to signed by all the "important" people in the company/batallion. It meant that you were okay to go and had no more money to pay or equipment to give back.

Explanation:
IMO a "Laufliste" is a list of more or less important things that have to be carried out regularly (daily, weekly, monthly)- the employees get such a list so that they can mark the points they have already done. The idea is that they don't forget anything and that the person working in the next shift knows what s/he still has to do - but this is experience from gastronomy...
