German to English translations [PRO] Medical - Medical: Health Care
German term or phrase:Arzt im Praktikum
In a Weiterbildungszeugnis: Herr - war vom - bis - als Arzt im Praktikum beschäftigt. What would be an appropriate translation - to be read by a GB future employer?
Explanation: An intern is defined as a doctor who is serving an apprenticeship as an assitant resident in a hospital, generally just after graduation from medical school (Webster's). I say that because I sometimes confuse intern and resident, the latter referring to a doctor serving a period of advanced medical or surgical training at a hospital.
