German to English translations [PRO]
German term or phrase: nach Kundenvorlage
Ca. 100 Normzeilen technischer Text in englisher Sprache nach Kundenvorlage. The company is offering a translation service and quoting a price for the above.
Also, the sentence below is troubling me.
Ziel- und Ausgangssprache ist immer die deutsche Sprache. How can both the target and source text always be German?

English translation:Mistake?
Explanation:
I agree with Dierk that your first question means "according to customer specifications " which would also include the type of softwre used, layout, font etc.
The second problem, however, must be a mistake in the source text. Perhaps they mean what Dierk suggests, but this is clearly not what they are saying. In fact they are talking utter rubbish! It is too risky to venture a guess, you'll have to ask the custmer to clarify.

According to customer specification

Explanation:
Vorlage in this context refers to what the customer "lays in front of the translator" to be translated, in other words what the customer wants the translator to translate or what the customer specifies to be translated.

As for Ziel- und Ausgangssprache being the same, that would refer to each job rather than the same job, in other words this company specializes in jobs with only one target language :->
