This is the Austrian (also German?) winter sport, involving a top-shaped disk that is pushed/thrown down an icy "Bahn" or court. It’s like a cross between curling and bowling and horseshoes...
I’m tired of never knowing how to describe it in English -- anybody out there have a good English equivalent? I really need one this time!

As far as I know its the same thing but then I got to wonder. Lots of web sites which should enable you to compare and contract from Canada, Switzerland. Good luck.

My problem with this "Ausdruck" has always been that it is NOT curling, since no brooms or sticks are utilized and the court & rules is different, etc., and the Austrians don’t appreciate the inaccurate solution our dictionaries give.
But the websites you’ve mentioned may help me make a final distinction.
