German term or phrase: Anschlussarmatur für den Wasserfilter mit flexibler Verschneidung
The text is about water filters which are specially designed for use in coffee machines.
The phrase above appears on a list of accessories available with the filter. Any ideas on Anschlussarmatur and Verschneidung? I thought Verschneidung might have something to do with the blend of coffee but I may be completely wrong with that. This particular accessory also includes "Muffennippel 3/4" bis 3/8"" which I can't translate either.
Finally, an order number is given after which the following phrase appears in brackets (incl. Wasseruhr). Does anyone know what a Wasseruhr is?

English translation:Water filter connection valve assembly - various adapters - pipe (adapter) nipple - water meter
Explanation:
"Anschlussarmatur für den Wasserfilter mit flexibler Verschneidung"

=

"Water filter connection valve assembly with various adapters"

______________________________________________

"Muffennippel 3/4 inch bis 3/8 inch

=

"socket joint 3/4 inch to 3/8 inch or "3/4 inch to 3/8" pipe adapter" or "3/4 inch to 3/8" pipe (adapter) nipple"

______________________________________________

"inkl. Wasseruhr"

=

"including water meter" I do not think they would use "Wasseruhr" to mean sight glass or water level indicator.

filter fitting with ...

Explanation:
"Connection fitting" sounds a bit redundant to me; see what you can put together.

Verschneidung/Verschneidearmatur is a type of connector; search on "Verschneidung +Anschluss" to find more info.
My Baulexikon gives "intersection" for Verschneidung, as does Ernst (see below). Don't have the time to research this further.

But here are all the components of your query:

Anschluß m, Verbindung f / connection, (GB) a.: connexion, hook-up
Armatur f (Masch) / fitting, mounting part
Verschneidung f von Flächen (Math) / intersection
Verschneidung f von geneigten Ebenen / cutting of inclined planes
Muffe, Hülse f / bushing, sleeve
Muffe, Stutzen m / muff
Muffe f, Kupplungsmuffe f, Hülse f / coupling box o. sleeve
Nippel m, Anschlußstück n / fitting

A Wasseruhr is generally a water meter; in this context, I would suspect it's a water level indicator; many coffee makers have them.

Gotta run

Fitting

Explanation:
Anschlussarmatur is a fitting or an adapter for installation of a water filter. Muffennippel - is another fitting called socket nipple. Wasseruhr is a water meter. And as regards Verschneidung good question. I cannot find anything in my dictionaries either.

Good luck!

connection valve with hose for water filter

Explanation:
The second URL includes the following feature:"Automatic water level system with a probe, electronic control unit and solenoid valve" This looks exactly like what you have in this phrase.

The first URL is a list of parts for coffee machines. Armatur = valve among other things, see Ernst. Valves are used for various functions in coffee machines. This connection valve is apparently for letting water into the machine.
The Muffennippel: The first part of the word refers to how it is connected, (cf. Ernst); the second I identify with a nozzle, see parts list. Note that there is a choice between long and shorter nozzles, two lengths, which you have for the Muffennippel, too.
The Wasseruhr is, from the second URL, "Automatic water level system with a probe, electronic control unit and solenoid valve", the water level probe. The flexibler Verschneidung = flexible intersection (c.f. Ernst) I take to be the interface needed between the plumbing and the machine. This would be the hose in the parts list, first URL.
Since your valve unit includes a probe, this is probably a solenoid valve activated electonically when the probe senses the water is at the preset level, i.e. it is an automatic water level system with a water probe.

Best wishes, Nancy
