German term or phrase: i.e.L.
"Der Status 'Mehrfachagent' muß angeklickt, sofern MFA-Status vorliegt. Hat derzeit jedoch keine Auswirkungen auf andere Systeme in XXX. Er dient i.e.L. zu statistischen Zwecken."

I can't find the expansion for this anywhere, not in my Oxford-Duden, regular Duden, Duden Dictionary of Abbreviations or Köller.

English translation:in erster Linie
Explanation:
sounds like "in erster Linie"
would fit your context

This status must be selected, but has no affect on other systems, as it serves primarily for statistical purposes. (Or something to that effect.)

that is/ for example

Explanation:
It seems to me that in this context the i.e.L. is referring to the example that follows. As far as the L. -- that is nowhere to be found! However, I would translate it just like i.e. -- id est (Latin for that is). Good luck!
