German to English translations [PRO] Bus/Financial - Law (general)
German term or phrase:in der Satzung genannt
Die Einladungen seien fristgerecht zugegangen, und die Versammlung findet innerhalb des in der Satzung genannten Zeitraumes statt.
My problem here is how to translate 'Satzung' which I know can mean 'the constitution' or 'rules'. The meeting in question is the AGM for the members of a timeshare holiday club in Spain and the sentence is describing the legality of the proceedings. Maybe 'the meeting took place within the period stipulated by law' would be ok or is this too formal?
Explanation: The Satzung is the articles of association of the company which specify arrangements for the AGM, among other things.

Explanation: If it is a fairly informal club, the above would probably cover it. For a company, we talk about 'Articles of Association' (as mentioned in the previous suggestion). Another possibility would be 'Statutes'. A lot depends on how formal the legal status of the body is.
