English translation:clog remover
Explanation:
or possibly "Drano" - since everyone knows what it is and does.

As you can see from the excerpt below, Rohrfrei is the brand name of a clog remover, similar to Drano in this country. You'll have to decide if you can use the equivalent product name, which would be Drano - if not, you can certainly use the product description, clog remover, and the analogy used by the doctor does remain intact.

Frisch Aktiv Rohrfrei Abflußreiniger,
Pulver 600 g 2,95 DM (Grundpreis: 1 kg = 4,91 DM), ...

Pipeclean

Explanation:
The doctor is referring to a chemical substance you pour into household pipes when they are clogged. The chemical dissolves any clogging food, fat, hair etc. deposits in the pipe to permit a free flow again. As far as I know Rohrfrei is a product name. Obviously the arteries and veins are closed up in this patient, but there is no way other than conservative treatment.

Drano

Explanation:
I would suggest Drano. It is one of those product names that has become(at least in the US) a household name for that type of product, like Kleenex for example.
On the other hand, it the doctor means something more along the lines of the equipment that a plumber uses to clean out the lines, then "roto-rooter" is the term that comes to mind. What an awful thought applied to human blood vessels!
