condition Explanation: The ENKA Textile Dictionary exists on the web in the German and English language, the measurement "cN/tex" was the same in both languages www.viscose.com/dictionary/t.htm It refers to Yarn Tenacity=Reisskraft, Festigkeit. A search on the abbreviation "cond." did not come up with much, but combined with "cN/tex" it gave information on the terms "Festigkeitkond. und Dehnungskon." therefore I think "cond." must refer to the condition of the fiber. conditioned (tested) Explanation: konditioniert: conditioned (tested) results can be expressed in SI units or in inch-pound units cN/tex is probably the SI unit for fiber strength (centinewtons/fiber???) konditionieren [prüfen] (Textil) condition Ernst, W. der industriellen Technik ISBN 3-87097-145-2 AltaVista (English) [testing textiles] 100 pages shown, e.g.: >>D1776-98e1 Standard Practice for Conditioning Testing Textiles Copyright 2001 AMERICAN SOCIETY FOR TESTING AND MATERIALS, West Conshohocken, PA. All rights reserved. 1. Scope 1.1 This practice covers the conditioning of textiles for testing in those instances where such conditioning is specified in a test method. Because prior exposure of textiles to high or low humidity may affect the equilibrium moisture pick-up, a procedure is also given for preconditioning the materials when specified. 1.2 The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as the standard. Within the text, the inch-pound units are shown in parentheses. The values stated in each system are not exact equivalents; therefore, each system shall be used independently of the other. Combining values from the two systems may result in nonconformance with the specification.<< http://www.astm.org/DATABASE.CART/PAGES/D1776.htm >> Eigenschaften -- Faserfestigkeit: Bei 10 mm Einspannlänge im Reißprüfer konnten Einzelfaserfestigkeiten von 46 bis 72 Reißkilometer festgestellt werden.
