German to English translations [PRO]
German term or phrase:Zillmerung
An insurance term relating to calculation of life assurance cover. I have a German definition but am unable to find an English equivalent.
Explanation: According to Witherby's insurance dic.it is 'a process whereby in an actuarial valuation some acquisition costs of long-term business are not amortised but are set against mathematical reserves'. in this dic. it is written 'zillmerisation' but i am assuming you are writing from the States so would use 'z'.
only a paper book, I'm afraid! Witherby's Dictionary of Insurance has just been published again.
