German to English translations [Non-PRO]
German term or phrase:Fremdbüro
Die Anweisung gilt sowohl für die Bereiche TD und TF der Firma X als auch für alle Fremdbüros, die für die Firma X ... Zeichnungen und Stücklisten erstellen.
third party supplier (or third party vendor) , outsourcer
Explanation: From the context you quote, it's obvious that the Fremdbüros are external companies which render certain services to Fa. X. It is certainly not necessary to retain the "office" part; and the appropriate term for that would be service bureau. However, I'd suggest using "third party supplier [or vendor]" or "outsourcer". (Just last week I received a letter from a US translation agency with the salutation "Dear Outsourcer"...) These terms are more general and clearly reflect the business relationship between Fa. X and the Fremdbüro.
