Mangels Kontext wissen wir nicht, um was für eine Stellungnahme es sich handelt. Daher kommen "reply" oder "answer" genauso gut in Frage.
Ich sehe "Stellungnahme" *nicht unbedingt* als "Stellungnahme";-)
