The facade facing the courtyard is defined by a flat, slightly raised middle section decorated with pillars joined by an arch decorated with Acanthus motives. The powerfully large gatehouse in the south belongs amongst the most significant in the land. It is a double storied structure, approached by a driveway through two colossal arched pillars. In the roof is a gabled Zwerchhaus.
