Ceiling joist layout.


Explanation:
In English we do not use the term under ceiling. In the trade it would be referred to as the joist layout or joist construction. Suspended ceilings are something different. These are usually hung from the joists by wire or timber batons, depending on the system.
I would guess your translation refers to a renovation or refurbishment of an older building,just because of the fact that you are using a timber floor in the first place. This would probably mean that out of consideration of fire protection, the wooden joists would first be covered in plaster board, even if a suspended ceiling system is to be applied under it.
