German to English translations [PRO]
German term or phrase: Abbreviations - ATS, AHS, BHS, MÖG
ATS appears before an amount of money, e.g. Eigenkapital ATS ___ . Text is Austrian so I thought about Austrian shillings but what about the T and wouldn't it be Ö?
AHS/BHS appear to be types of school. HS may be Hauptschule.
MÖG - the question is asked at a job interview. Why have you applied to us and not another MÖG? Österreichische Gesellschaft maybe but what about the M?
The company is a group which owns petrol stations.
Julie
English translation:see below
Explanation:
ATS is the international symbol for Austrian Shillings (DEM stands for German Marks, USD for US Dollars)

AHS/BHS
allgemeinbildende höhere Schule (AHS) und berufsbildende höhere Schule (BHS)
http://www.ualberta.ca/~german/ejournal/abuja2.htm

So these schools would be roughly equivalent to a German gymnasium (they do have Unter/Oberstufe) or an American high school.
AHS would be a general ed secondary school while BHS would be a vocational secondary school. Search on AHS/BHS on Google, you will find quite a number of sites (all Austrian, with curricula etc.)

MÖG – no idea. However, a Google search on MÖG yielded, among many other hits, this one:
http://home.eduhi.at/cometo/maypage/new/new.htm
It seems to have to do with Austrian schools [re-reading your query, that might not be what you’re looking for, though]. Try searching on MÖG in google, there is a number of Austrian sites that will come up.

MÖG = Mineralölgesellschaft

Explanation:
This just hit me while I was relaxing in the garden -- Mineralölgesellschaft makes sense in your context.
