German term or phrase: konzeptueller Zugriff
I am sending you a quite a lengthy extract from the text. The part I need help with is marked with asterisks: I should greatly appreciate your help!

"Rebeca Méndez reflects a more conceptual approach to typographic design, she often incorporates transparency, layering and movement, using image and type as intergrated components"
Link 2:
"Daniel Palmer on
Subjective or Conceptual: Documentary Photography in, and as, Art
"The fortunes of documentary photography have risen since September 11, 2001. The documentary mode - especially the witnessing of historical trauma - is even prevalent in the art world. This talk considers documentary photography’s necessary connection to the real, and secondly its continually shifting relation to art. Post WWII, documentary photography has been dominated by a self-reflexive, personal approach - romantic impulses which are quite at odds with the direction of contemporary art over the same period. Since we take for granted today that photography is necessarily a construction of the real rather than a mere reflection of it, contemporary documentary must either persuade us that it is not staged but witnessed, not fabricated but encountered, or embrace a more conceptual approach.""

Perfect! Thank you.

agree  Rolf Bueskens: The examples suggest that, once again, the German term has been translated/adopted from English. - It sounds terrible! (But your research is great.)
