Science - Biology (-tech,-chem,micro-)
German term or phrase: biologische und chemische Strukturräume
Can anyone tell me what "Strukturräume" are? The word comes up frequently in part of a text on medical chemistry, e.g. "der biologische Strukturraum ist nicht bekannt".
biological and chemical structure spaces
Explanation:
a structure space is essentially a mathematical concept of a 'space' (in the generalised sense) whose content is various structures; you could consider the pararameters of the structures to be the coordinates of the space.

place, space, room occupied by the structure

Explanation:
If they say Strukturräume they mean tha place, or room, or space which belongs (is covered, occupied, etc.) by a cetain structure. You perhaps know thath in German structure is a slightly wider concept than in Engl.

In order to trace the result concening this notion try google with this word.
It also often is met in lectures on chemistry and medical issues. E.g., K-space in NMR tomography means the room investigated by magnet resonance methods.
