I'm not certain that this is correct, but considering that the rest of the article is not as technically abomnable as some I've seen, I'd give it a reasonable chance. Also, ""threshold depth" + groundwater" gets 86 hits on Goggle, without checking of correctness or context on my part! I think that in this sense Grenzflurabstände refers to areas (within specic borders), perhaps beside a river, which are to be left, or developed, specifically for the purpose of accommodating any flooding (of a river). English text suggests the use of FLOODPLAIN, which of course is not a literal translation. As an alternative you might like to consider FLOOD(PLAIN) BOUNDARY. |
