In den regulierten Abschnitten flussauf- und flussabwärts sind die Buhnen etwas länger. Dadurch verringert sich die Streichlinienbreite, der Abstand von einem Buhnenkopf zum gegenüberliegenden. Der Flussquerschnitt ist schmaler und die Fliessgeschwindigkeit des Wassers höher.
DIN-Definition: Streichlinie: Planmäßige seitliche Begrenzung des Wasserspiegels im Bereich des abflusswirksamen Querschnitts beim Ausbauabfluss, z.B. Verbindungslinie entlang der Buhnenköpfe (DIN 4054).
Unfortunately, I do not have access to the relevant DIN standard. "Streakline width" and "streamline width" appeared to be possibilities, but googling did not confirm this.
