German term or phrase:Pompadourtasche
Pompadourtasche an Lehnenrueckseite
(in context of car seats)
Explanation: Normally a Pompadour Tasche is an evening bag made out of soft cloth and gathered together with a draw string at the top so that it ends up in a sack shape. It is named after Madame Pompadour, a mistress of Louis XIV. She introduced these bags into the Paris fashion world. I have never seen them on the back of car seats, but would certainly assume that the draw string is the promiment feature.
All the best,
