German term or phrase: Is there anybody there?
Time was, not so long ago, I used to get three or four KudoZ enquiries for German/English per day, but for the last month, nothing. I am just sending this request to find out if there is a breakdown in the system, or whether it is really the case that no-one wants any help!

Best regards, Iain.

Explanation:
Have you sent mail to henry@proz.com to ask what the problem might be? I'm getting questions still, but not nearly as many, maybe people are wisening up and using the resources suggested by other members :-)

The system is not working correctly, although
I am currently logged on, it won't let me
award points as a member, only as a
non-member. This, and the difficulty in
obtaining notification in the first place,
indicates that there are some few problems.

You may not be getting everything but have you looked at the questions list?

Explanation:
Dierk and I seem to be getting all the questions but Tom Funke, Michael Dollmann and towns313 have also mentioned not getting everything. I've sent emails to Henry about this subject but have no reply as yet. That's a bad sign in itself! If you look at the list of questions under "See others' questions" on the main German>English page, you will see what you should have been getting. If any are unknown, you should write to henry@proz.com as dierk said or to info@proz.com. The "moderator" or "contributing pro" thing is slowly starting, so I may be able to help you with such glitches in the future but for now, everything still has to go through the headquarters, in other words, Henry. Good luck! Dan McCrosky

Explanation:
I am getting all the questions, which are not too numerous at the moment. About contacting Henry, though, I'm sure he is very busy, because he has not replied to my several emails. Good luck!
While we are griping, though, I wish people who ask the questions would come back and add their final comments. I always like to know how a search for a good word ends. :)
