German term or phrase: Is there anybody there?
Time was, not so long ago, I used to get three or four KudoZ enquiries for German/English per day, but for the last month, nothing. I am just sending this request to find out if there is a breakdown in the system, or whether it is really the case that no-one wants any help!

Best regards, Iain.

Explanation:
Hi Iain,
Check your settings - I've been getting an average of one help request per day over the last month. Traffic has been lighter than normal, but it does exist. Maybe you turned off something the last time you adjusted your e-mail preferences.
HTH,
Will

The system is not working correctly, although I am currently logged on, it won't let me award points as a member, only as a non-member. This, and the difficulty in obtaining notification in the first place, indicates that there are some few problems.

There is definitely something wrong

Explanation:
I have checked my settings, but for the past 2 1/2- 3 weeks (roughly since message 940), the only messages that I have recieved have been from Italian to English. I have not recieved any more messages from French or German to English.
Best regards,
Andréa

The fact that your question is now in the list twice is clear evidence that something is wrong

Explanation:
You may not be getting everything but have you looked at the questions list?

Dierk and I seem to be getting all the questions but Tom Funke, Michael Dollmann and towns313 have also mentioned not getting everything. I've sent emails to Henry about this subject but have no reply as yet. That's a bad sign in itself! If you look at the list of questions under "See others' questions" on the main German>English page, you will see what you should have been getting. If any are unknown, you should write to henry@proz.com as dierk said or to info@proz.com. The "moderator" or "contributing pro" thing is slowly starting, so I may be able to help you with such glitches in the future but for now, everything still has to go through the headquarters, in other words, Henry. Good luck! Dan McCrosky

NO SERVICE

Explanation:
As Dan, Andrea and Andrew pointed out, there is a problem.

I even went to the trouble of reentering my relevant data but to no avail.

It's frustrating as there has been no reply from "Harry". I understand ProZ is self supporting, in fact I don't know where its finacial basis originates. But given this state of affairs, I would rather pay a subscription and see a more professional service.

Hoping for positive change.

It's frustrating as there has been no reply from "Harry". I understand ProZ is self supporting, in fact I don't know where its financial basis originates as I don't see advertising. But given this state of affairs, I would rather pay a subscription and see a more professional service.
