German to English translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering
German term or phrase:Looking for WYSIWYG HTML editor
I am looking for a "what you see is what you get" HTML editor that runs on Win95
or less . The editor should let me type in new text (the translation) on the screen that displays it with all formatting and MUST NOT mess up other aspects of the HTML code.
Netscape composer is close, but it adds lines of code (meta tags) and shuffles comments around, which make the result unacceptable to my client.
Word's HTML converter also makes changes in the way the source code looks.
HyperPad leaves the code alone, but does not permit editing in WYSIWYG view, only in source view.
Explanation: Ed, I do HTML translations using the Tag Editor by Trados. No problems encountered so far. It does not add or change tags and you can always display the original and the translated web page side by side with an integrated web view.
