It's tough on you when you have no context.
There is such a thing as "Topfzeit" which is the time after preparing an adhesive ready or removing from a package until it becomes ready for application.
You may be dealing with glues here and this might help in some way, but that is all I know at this point.

I just thought of something. Could you have a typo? Maybe \"kopfboeden\"?
If so, then maybe \"head boards\" or head floors or head layers.
