German to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering
German term or phrase: Stuecklisten
I'm doing a translation on a company that specializes in setting up intranets for other companies. Just a few questions, with the translations I think are correct but am not sure:

WORD: STUECKLISTEN and TERMINEN
My translation: accessories and schedules
CONTEXT: Nutzung von Profid, mit STUECKLISTEN, Presien, Terminen, etc.
COMMENT: I'm not sure what "schedules" has to do with using Profid software.
Jeff
English translation:See below
Explanation:
I am certain on this one:

STUECKLISTEN = parts lists

This one is more difficult without more context:

TERMINEN = Delivery times
Delivery schedule
Shipping schedule

You will have to decide what fits best.

delivery time

Explanation:
In this context, TERMIN could mean 'delivery time', i.e. the time from placing the order to receiving the goods.

Stückliste - bill of materials

Explanation:
SAP uses "bill of materials" (BOM) for Stückliste.

See below an excerpt from Schäfer, Hyperbook Wirtschaftsenglisch:
Stückliste f
(MaW) bill of materials
(IndE) master bill of materials
– parts list
(ie, für die Materialdispositionen werden folgende fertigungsbezogene Stücklisten benötigt: Mengenübersichtsstücklisten, Strukturstücklisten, Baukastenstücklisten, qv; in anderen Industriezweigen werden sie bezeichnet als:
1. Rezeptur (chemische Industrie);
2. Materialliste (Bauwirtschaft);
3. Gattierliste (Stahlindustrie);
4. Holzliste (holzverarbeitende Industrie))

... use of Profid (I assume it's a program?) with bills of materials, price [lists?], and schedules / scheduling functions ??

With the limited context you give, it's hard to say if these are delivery schedules (seems unlikely), production schedules, or some other scheduling function (maybe for setting up the intranet?).
HTH!

or:1. appointed/set/fixed date/day/time
2. term, time limit
3. delivery time, completion time (all
depending on larger context)
4. deadline, final date

and much more

Hope this helps,
Lis
