German term or phrase: Quadratmeterware
Elektroden koennen so als QUADRATMETERWARE hergestellt werden.
I'm tempted to translate this as 'can be manufactured by the square meter',
but I'm wondering whether there is a better translation for this. Any suggestions ?

TIA

English translation:continuous stock
Explanation:
I am not entirely convinced about my own suggestion, but made by th square metre sounds very odd in English. You may have to find a descriptive phrase such as 'not as individual components but as continuous stock'.
Sorry I can't be more definite.

Thanks to you all for the helpful suggestions.
I think the 'continuous' idea comes closes to the meaning of the text.

material manufactured by the square meter

Explanation:
Meterware is a more common term in German and it is translated as:
econ. material sold by the meter;
So, Quadratmeterware (and because in your instance it is "hergestellt" and not "sold"): material manufactured by
the square meter.
I searched google etc., but found no
easier solution.
