Alcatel DSL Subscriber Access Multiplexer Explanation: May stand for Alcatel ADSL Subscriber Access Multiplexer (ASAM) Alcatel's version of a DSLAM (Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer) [[[I'm having trouble with my buttons today too. My prior draft of this answer has disappeared. I apologize in case you received it incoomplete. ]]] ASAM also stands for many other hings, especially in English, even in the context of Hitech, IT and software. There also a Germany Society (for measurements) with that acronym, an e.V. in Munich. It gets back to the more context, the better.
