German to English translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering
German term or phrase:Lackwerk
This has to do with the copier/printer industry, and it is used in the context of something that distributes "Lack" onto the paper - or at least that is the idea that I received from the document.
A search on "lacquer unit +printing" yielded only one hit:
The basic construction principle of the OptiCard OC 200 is a convenient modular system. With this system, four or more ink units can be combined with a primer or a lacquer unit. This makes it possible to print and lacquer the cards all at once. Simple handling and little space requirements furthermore caracterize this machine.
This last URL actually does contain the whole phrase "lacquer application unit", but it's a Polish print shop, so I'm not sure to which degree their English is trustworthy (although it generally seemed quite good) http://www.winkowski.com.pl/our.html
