German term or phrase: Hohlkugelkorund
I believe Höheschleifen is vertical grinding. One solution I have seen for Hohlkugelkorund is hollow-ball alumina. Does anyone know if that is correct?

English translation:hollow sphere corundum
Explanation:
Within the context of grinding or abrasive materials, my suggestion is "hollow sphere corundum". Alumina or aluminium oxide is not incorrect, but is a trifle too general in this case. See ERNST "WB der industriellen Technik". HTH wolfgang
