I finally settled on "alternative power supply act" after talking to the client. But thanks for steering me in the right direction!

42 mins
power supply price

Explanation:
"Einspeisungsvergütung:
Die Einspeisung von regenerativ erzeugtem elektrischen Strom (Solar, Windkraft, etc.) in das allgemeine Stromnetz wird mit einem bestimmten Beitrag pro Kilowattstunde vergütet (z.B. 99 Pfennig pro Kilowattstunde bei Solarstrom)" (from the URL below). Power companies are legally bound to buy energy from regenerative energy sources (windmills in this case) in their area at the price stated. You can probably think of a better translation, but HTH, Eva

50 mins
renumeration/payment for the power supply is . . .

Explanation:
einspeisen von Wasser, Strom, Gas=
to feed into the mains;
verb. noun=feeding, input,
-verguetung is the monetary compensation
someone has to pay for the energy=renumeration, pay, consideration
etc.
Now, searching these combination, I did not come up with anything, plus it sounds kind of odd in English. So, I searched for electrical current supply
and that worked:http://ublib.buffalo.edu/libraries/projects/cases/niagara.ht...
Also power supply is good, or even better. Therefore:
payment for the power supply is . . .
/KWh

feed-in tariffs

Explanation:
I have to disagree with "power supply price" as that could be misconstrued as the price of a power supply.

Rather, "einspeisen" in this context should be "to feed in", and "Vergütung" is used in the sense of Tarif, thus "tariff".

The first URL has some good info.

agree  zhdim: I know I'm 4 years too late on this, but this is absolutely "feed-in tariffs". EEA and EU term, also Calif. and Can. The other answers are not even close. Of course, if the client wants "alternative power supply act", then that is what he/she should get!

3 hrs
power input remuneration

Explanation:
'supply' sounds to industrial. What it's often all about is that a person or group of persons get paid for inputting power into the grid, thus financing their investment and safeguarding reciprocal input when their installation is idle or not sufficient to cover their own needs.

not an answer, just a comment

Explanation:
It's interesting to note that Dierk's first URL is the English version of a German-language site; furthermore. a search fo 'feed-in tariff' does yield a fair number of hits, but they are almost all Eurpoean and mostly originally German. So, if your target audience is European, this is definitely the way to go. North Americans probably use something different (who knows?), but since the Germans are arguably far 'greener' than anyone else, they probably invented both the concept and the term, and thus have a right to donate a term to the English language for a change.

net metering

Explanation:
now, after ALL these years, please check

"Net", in this context, is used in the sense of meaning "what remains after deductions" -- in this case, the deduction of any energy outflows from metered energy inflows. Under net metering, a system owner receives retail credit for at least a portion of the electricity they generate.
