German term or phrase: Formfreiheit
Does anyone have a suggestion for the term "Formfreiheit"in the following sentence?

"Aufgrund der Formfreiheit beim Spritzgiessen stehen für die Befestigung des Barriermoduls and den Basiskörper verschiedene Verbindungstechniken zur Verfügung."

Thanks very much,

Harold

freedom of form
Explanation:
Mats' suggestion above is supported by the injection moulding URL below( this is a translation from the Dutch). Maybe you could try to word it along these lines".. the freedom of form typically associated with injection moulding allows /permits the barrier module to be attached to the base element using various techniques(?? need more context). HTH!

Since there is no restraint on the shape of......beim Spritzgiessen

Explanation:
Something along that line...
I can not find 'Formfreiheit' as such
in my dictionary, but it seems to me to suggest that there is no specific shape required, and shape is therefore open to choice.

Best of luck,
A.
