German to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering

Unfortunately, there is no context for the Kühlwärmetauscher - it is just listed in the "Lieferumfang" under "Pumpstand"
Other items are HD-Pumpe, Pumpenüberbau, Mediumtank, u. Filterstation.

for the English "translation" of this:

Good luck!

Thanks to everyone for such fast help! The points go to Leipzig for three (3!) responses, the web references, and the bonus of "jetting pump" for HP pump. This way I won't have to use the same word again and again in the text when it refers to the high pressure washing of the parts! Thanks again, everyone!

soft start; heat exchanger for cooling or simply radiator

Explanation:
HD-Pumpe: suspect HD stands for Heavy Duty (it's now used in German, too)

Ueberbau: normally super-structure, could also be cover/enclosure

The other two are literal translations

soft start, reduced-voltage starting

Explanation:
Hello Beth,

Acc. to Heimwerkers Selbesthilfe-Lexikon: Sanftanlauf
Siemens Dict. for industrielle Elektrotechnik offers: soft start, reduced-voltage starting, cushioned start and smooth start.
I am still working on Kuehlwaermetauscher. My guess is that it deals with a combined refrigeration/heat exchanger, but not certain.
Good luck!

smooth start

With "Kühlwärmetauscher" could be either meant a "cooler" or a "heat exchanger" - depending on context, but as you do not have context it's up to you.

I'm not sure if you need the otehr items translated, but anyway here some hints:

HD-Pumpe = high peressure pump

Pumpenüberbau = depending on how that looks like it can be various things from a frame to a housing nearly everything.

Mediumtank = liquid, fluid (to be pumped) tank

Filterstation = simply the filter station

Hope that helps you get a little further.

Explanation:
in addition to wat you alreadg have:

HD-Pumnpe = high-pressure pump (Hocchdruck) (see ref 1)
Mediumtank = depends on what the Medium is (cooling water, ???)
FIlterstation = filter station

and for 'Kühlwäremetäuscher' I would suggest 'cooling heat exchanger' (a heat exchanger is of course a radiator, but 'heat exchanger' is usually used in such contexts. Engineers have their pride, after all. With a heat exchanger, naturally one medium is cooled and the other warmed, so whether it is a 'cooling' or a 'warming' heat exchanger depends on which medium you are interested in.

HD

Explanation:
By the way: (just for the others) HD stands for Hochdruck in connection with pumps, ie. high-pressure pump or jetting pump.
