German term or phrase: Kunststoffwerft
The word appears in one of the 2 following titles:

1. Holzbootsbauwerft

There is no more context. Is that simply "plastic boat building" or "PVC boat building"?

English translation:synthetic-hull boat construction
Explanation:
While it's true that moat hulls can be made of PVC, the majority are made of fibreglass-reinforced resin. Since your text does not specifically say 'PVC', I don't think adding this to the translation can be justified. NOt to mention that I doubt that PVC can be made to withstand a temperatre of 1600 degrees, regardless of how it is reinforced.

See the ref for one of many examples of 'synthetic hull'

PVC boat construction

Explanation:
I would prefer boat construction over boat building, but that mihgt be a subjective choice. I do agree that it would be better to use PVC than plastic. "Synthetic materials" might be another option. (I did find a fair number of legitimate hits on "PVC boat").

I would not use PVC shipyard - neither that nor, for that matter, Kunststoffwerft yielded a single hit.
