"Lens performance" is quite correct but most people associate performance with movement and therefore the term is not used so often for marketing as "image quality". The "Abbildung" is the picture thrown on the chip or film by the lens and this is the "image" in English. I would choose "image quality" as Minolta and Nikon did below:
